This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for Garment’s website (“Website” or “Site”) and any social media sites owned or operated by Garment. This policy does not govern information obtained outside of this Site or the social media sites owned or operated by Garment.

While using, interacting with, participating in, or visiting any Garment owned or managed Site or page you may communicate to us or our service providers Personal Information including but not limited to, your first and last name, email, billing and shipping address, and credit or debit card information. Garment only collects information that you voluntarily provide to us via, including but not limited to: our donation form, blog comments, our log-in only section, and any emails or communications sent through our Website. We are the sole owners of the information collected and do not release, sell, or rent your Personal Information that we have access to, to third parties, vendors, or suppliers.

Personal Information that you publish on any public portion of our Website or social media may be available, via the internet, around the world. We cannot prevent the use or misuse of such information by others.

If you disclose to us the Personal Information of another person of legal age, you must obtain that person's consent to both the disclosure and the processing of that Personal Information in accordance with this policy prior to disclosing the information.

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age, you should not provide Personal Information on the Site or any social media sits owned or operated by Garment. No medical information is collected nor should be transmitted through this Site or any of the social media sites owned or operated by Garment. Garment complies with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements as an organization and does not transmit or input any Protected Health Information as defined by HIPPA privacy regulations through this Site. Garment also does not collect information about the individuals receiving its services (“Program Participants”) nor does it make any information public regarding the Program Participants its serves through this Site. Program Participants are given secure, login-only access to portions of this Website in which only their first name is put into the Site and is viewable by the Program Participant. Any further information on the Site related to Program Participants is made only after a specific release has been signed and is on record with Garment. If you are a Program Participant of Garment and wish to have your login credentials and personalized login-in portion of the Site permanently removed from the Site backend please contact us at hello@garmentproject.org.

The only exceptions to our protection of Personal Information are (a) to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order; or (b) a physical threat to you or others, a threat to homeland security, a threat to our system or network, or in any cases in which we believe it is reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent harm, fraud, abuse, illegal conduct or a violation or alleged violation of this Policy or other agreement we may have with you.

Users of this Site should consult Amazon Web Services’s privacy policy and Garment is not responsible for Amazon Web Services’s use of information. This Website and any social media site owned or operated by Garment may also contain links to third party Sites that we do not control. We do not monitor, control, or endorse the information collection or privacy practices of any third parties. This Policy applies solely to information collected by us through Garment Sites or services and does not apply to these third party websites.

We take precautions to protect your information. Security of Personal Information is protected by secure server software (SSL) for our email accounts and operating systems to prevent theft. Donations on this Site are collected through Classy, Inc, which also uses partner internet payment service providers, currently PayPal, WePay, and Authorize.net. Financial data you input to consummate a transaction is encrypted using SSL technology and only the actual credit card processors receive your credit card number. Garment does not gain access to or see your credit card number. All information collected via credit card and debit card transactions are subject to the privacy policies of Classy, Inc. and their partner internet payment service providers.

Only owners, managers, employees or agents who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

If there is a breach of Garment’s data that results in the release of Personal Information, Garment will notify affected individuals within 7 days of the breach. All breach notifications related to donations shall be handled by Classy, Inc. or one of their partner internet service providers.
